History of the Association
In the late 1970s, China was in the process of developing its business. Under the leadership of Ms. Liu Yaozhu, a group of professionals from the legal, accounting, engineering and surveying fields in Hong Kong formed the Association of Professionals Promoting Modernization. With a selfless heart, each of them was determined to help the motherland embark on the road of modernization, hoping to take the lead, attract social attention, and allow more people to participate in the modernization of the motherland.
Started in 1979: A journey of breaking the ice with professional strength
In 1979, when China was in the midst of reform and opening up, the Hong Kong Association of Professionals for Promoting Modernization was established under the leadership of lawyer Liu Yaozhu. A group of patriotic elites from the fields of law, finance, engineering, surveying, etc. traveled between Hong Kong and the Mainland at their own expense, becoming the "professional bridge" connecting the two places in the early days of reform and opening up.
Their original aspirations are as strong as a rock: In a simple stone house in the Shekou Industrial Zone in Shenzhen, they taught Hong Kong's land system, urban planning, and international laws for free, and assisted the mainland in establishing a modern management system.
A groundbreaking move: Promoting Shenzhen's first public land auction, introducing international standards, rewriting the history of "free land", and providing a "Hong Kong solution" for the country's land reform.

1980s-1990s: National Strategy for Professional Empowerment
The Association is deeply involved in the country's modernization process, using its professional experience to serve major decision-making:
City Blueprint: Assisted Shenzhen in developing its first urban plan, transforming it from a “border town of 30,000 people” to an “international city of one million people”, witnessing the miracle of China’s urbanization.
Legal foundation: Participated in the drafting of Annex III to the Sino-British Joint Declaration and provided professional advice on Hong Kong's post-handover land lease system;
Industry upgrading: We built a safety awareness platform for the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant to promote rational public awareness; we held the China Aerospace Science and Technology Exhibition, bringing the country’s cutting-edge achievements to Hong Kong for the first time.

21st Century: A New Chapter of International Cooperation
Based on Hong Kong's role as a "super connector", the Association uses its professional strength to promote dialogue between Chinese brands and the world:
Standard-driven: Developed an international grading system for Ningxia Galan Mountain East Foothill wine, helping the "Gabeilan" brand fly into Cathay Pacific's first-class cabin. Cross-border breakthrough: Promoted Yunnan Chinese herbal medicines to pass Hong Kong testing and certification, and directly reach 300 pharmacies in Singapore;
Regional connection: Organize the "Yunnan-Hong Kong" and "Ningbo Port" entrepreneur delegations, build logistics, cultural tourism, and green economy cooperation platforms, and provide services covering 12 provinces.
